在台灣每星期幾乎都會發生特定血型的血荒，
急難救助時，特定血型的快速提供是救命的關鍵。
就算台灣人熱於捐血，
民眾在日常生活中很難即時接收到缺血訊息，
緊急缺血時卻無法立刻募集到真正欠缺的血型，
如何讓缺血訊息更即時投放到人們的生活中，驅動捐血，
成了捐血中心面臨的一大挑戰！
台灣智慧型手機普及率為世界第2名，
人們在生活中更是經常性的使用導航型APP，
「若能將地區缺血的訊息也透過導航地標來傳遞」，
一個簡單的Idea，
於是有了今天Blood Beacon捐血地標的產生。
手機是人們最容易接觸的媒體，
Blood Beacon 沒有任何的媒體預算，
同時也了解人們不希望額外下載任何APP
因此Blood Beacon 將捐血地標，
移植到生活中常用的導航型APP裡。
第一個合作的APP是搜尋停車地點的“停車大聲公”，
它已擁有200萬用戶，
當這200萬人找尋某地區停車點時，
定位icon會串聯血液中心的即時血量庫存數據，
當缺血時，定位icon會翻轉成血滴形狀，
即時告知人們缺少的血型，
並為人們導航至最近的捐血站，
若沒有缺血，定位icon將維持原狀。
捐血地標上線至今讓血荒發生到結束的時間，
從平均35小時大幅縮短為7小時，
捐血地標讓募集血液的時間更快，
幫助我們去搶救每一條生命。
在今年將有其他四個導航型APP，
即將置入「捐血地標」，
這個idea簡單、可被複製到其他APP，
無須購買媒體，就能持續不斷幫助在對的時間、地點，
募集到真正需要的血型。
